May 18, 2017 By Check out behind the scenes from Thrive CryoStudio’s Good Morning Washington television interview! In case you missed the show, you can watch it here! Watch Thrive CryoStudio on LIVE TV! Thrive CryoStudio transformed into a TV studio for a morning on Wednesday, as Meteorologist and WJLA Field Reporter, Veronica Johnson and her wonderful cameraman Joe, broadcast the Good Morning Washington show LIVE from our studio! It was such a blast with the Good Morning Washington crew we thought we would share some of the behind the scenes highlights! After making introductions and discussing how Brandon (Thrive CryoStudio’s owner) grew up watching Veronica on TV, we started to walk her through the process of a cryotherapy session. After conducting over 5000 cryotherapy sessions since opening last year, it only seems natural for our first-time guests to be nervous about entering a chamber that reaches -240 degrees below zero! With that said, we put Veronica’s mind at ease by promising her that she would not become a snow woman! With a get-er-done attitude and a few more discussions about just how many calories you burn in one session, Veronica kept her cool and was ready for some cryo! We had two live segments on Good Morning Washington, with Veronica calling her actual cryotherapy session “Thriving in negative 240 degrees!” Once the three minutes of freezing were over, we used a laser thermometer to measure Veronica’s skin surface temperature. The result was a balmy 56 degrees! That’s a whole 42 degrees less than normal skin surface temps! With a great live delivery from her cryotherapy treatment, Veronica exited the chamber feeling euphoric and reenergized proving to be an odd combination! She also mentioned feeling more energized, something she probably doesn’t need (if you’ve seen her on TV, you know what we mean). She’s full of energy and enthusiasm! We want to thank Veronica Johnson, Joe the Cameraman and the rest of WJLA’s Good Morning Washington’s team for featuring Thrive CryoStudio! We look forward to seeing all of you soon!
